Empower Your Community: Support the YWCA’s Annual Campaign
When you donate to the YWCA Southeastern Massachusetts, you support your community.
We know that our community is currently facing immense challenges. From threats to reproductive rights and setbacks in racial justice to a critical lack of affordable childcare and education, the obstacles are real. Yet, in the face of these hurdles, the resilience of women, girls, and people of color across Southeastern Massachusetts shines through.
Your support is the foundation of that resilience.
We see this resilience every day in the people we serve. Amanda, one of our residents, recently shared her journey with us:
“When I arrived here, I was a very broken individual and I needed an opportunity to change myself and my life. I needed a sense of security. I needed support. I needed time. And they gave me that. I’ve gotten myself back and my children have their mom back. The time and opportunity is just what I needed to start my life over again.”
She also told us how the YWCA strengthened her relationships
“Something I’ve always struggled with is my relationships with women, but I’ve been able to build beautiful relationships with the women in my life now and I learn from them everyday and they’ve helped me build a relationship with myself.”
Amanda’s words remind us that the YWCA is more than a place or a program—it is a lifeline where families find safety, healing, and the strength to move forward together.
Thanks to your commitment to our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women, we have accomplished incredible things over the past year. None of this would have been possible without you.
Invest in the Future of Our Region
As we approach the new year, we humbly ask for your continued partnership. With your support, we can expand outreach for young women, grow existing programs, and reach more people in need.
Here is how your gift can make an immediate difference:
-
$50 provides a mental health counseling session, allowing youth and adults to heal.
-
$100 provides a month’s supply of menstrual products for 12 women, ensuring they can attend school and work without worry.
-
$500 opens the world to YWKids enrollees through an educational field trip.
-
$1,000 funds a community education program, equipping adults and teens with essential skills like financial literacy.
