From SouthCoast Today! Letter: Women telling their assault stories will empower them.

“The last week has seen scores of women coming out.  Not women coming out in the sense of coming out as lesbians, but women coming out to tell their hidden stories of sexual assault.

Most recently, the Standard-Times own Susan Pawlak- Seaman has comes out about her experiences being sexually assaulted while waiting tables in college.  She never told anyone until now.

The YWCA of Southeastern Ma wants to recognize this moment and Susan’s Bravery in particular.  It is never easy to tell the story..”
